Samsung has launched two new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5, alongside a tablet and two smartwatches. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 features a much larger cover display and a slimmer design with a three-stop, “zero gap” hinge, while the Galaxy Fold 5 has a 7.6-inch main screen, a reduced thickness, and an under-display front camera. The South Korean electronics giant aims to double down on folding devices to compete with Chinese rivals in the foldable phone market, where it remains the market leader with an 80% share of global foldable shipments.
