Audi expects a modest increase in sales this year as it prepares for a major surge in 2024 with its electric vehicle (EV) push, according to a top executive at the Munich IAA mobility show. Sales chief Hildegard Wortmann acknowledged that 2023 won’t bring about a significant leap for the company, but Audi plans to introduce around 20 new models in the next two years, with half of them being EVs. The automaker aims to catch up with German rivals BMW and Mercedes in the EV transition and is also looking to boost its business in China through a partnership with SAIC.
